Gardening is an exercise in patience and flexibility. The former because you see the results of your vision down the line. The latter because you have to be good with things not working out the way you planned, adjusting your expectations, and making changes as you go.
It can be frustrating, but every year I also learn how absolutely fulfilling it can be.
