5 things for the weekend 24.42
ideas for rosemary, gingerbread, make an advent calendar, mini-book, 40 books
Last weekend I finally gave in to the itch to rearrange the sitting and family rooms, and I (and the cats) are so happy about the new arrangement. While doing it, I realised that sometimes it takes a while for things to marinate in my mind to move from idea to fruition. This blue chair was formerly in my son’s room, but he said a few weeks (or maybe months) ago, that he no longer wanted it, and would bring something else in (his room is in constant flux). My original idea was to add it to my office, where I have the matching one, but I put off making any decisions at the time. A couple weeks ago the idea surfaced about having it in the sitting room instead, and that’s just the perfect spot for it! Sometimes you just have to let things sit, and not act right away.
5 Things
1. How many things can you do with fresh rosemary? How about any of these 21 ideas? I’m about to harvest some, so this list will come in handy.
2. December is about to hit, and I am craving gingerbread. I’m going to start with these muffins, and plan to make loaves as we get closer to Christmas.
3. It’s not too late to whip up a handmade Advent Calendar and fill it with treats. Try this super cute idea made with cardboard.
4. Make this super cute, mini-concertina “library bookshelf”. I can see so many uses for this creative idea!
5. Another great book list to round out the year from Bijal Shah at Bibliotherapy. I think I’ll be suggesting some of these for our Sister Reads Book Club in 2025.

I am definitely making those gingerbread muffins, I love anything with ginger in it. Will also be taking a look at that booklist, like I need more books to add to my TBR :)! I am finishing up reading The Extraordinary Life of Sam Hell and listening to The Girl with the Louding Voice which I am thoroughly enjoying. Its both heartbreaking and amusing at the same time. I love the internal dialogue of the main character.
Lovely post!
Tell me - the plant - is it an avocado? I planted a stone earlier this year and the leaves look very similar - I'm so excited that mine grew! x
