5 things for the weekend 24.18
fantasy series, fountain pens, clutter, artists' rooms, lentil salad
I talk a lot about being a multi-passionate creative, but lately I’ve been rethinking that, and started coining the term multi-skilled creative, but I don’t think it’s possible to be passionate about multiple things at a time. I realise that my passions shift and change over time. Or maybe a better description is that they ebb and flow. I might spend months doing a deep dive on one thing, while still doing other creative things to a lesser degree. And I have come to understand that it’s perfectly okay! It’s okay to put aside something you loved deeply, and spend time on another craft, art, or technique that’s really speaking to you right now.
What’s your current passion?
5 Things

Thank you so much for mentioning my post Francine. I love yours! I'm just like you. My interests and hobbies seem to change often and like you say, that's okay! Looking forward to reading your future posts ❤️
I'm also not a huge fan of "multi-passionate." For some reason it just feels disingenuous to me. So I go with "multifaceted" creative - and I made that the whole theme (and title) of my Substack! ✨
