5 things for the weekend 23.09
march calendar, winnie the pooh, free crochet pattern, geek girl pen pals
Over here the earth is starting to wake up, and growth is on my mind. Actual physical growth as in my garden, but also the idea of personal growth, which is our theme for the month in Journal Your Word and The Modern Makers Collective.
It’s a time for solidifying the habits that we’ve been forming, and deepening and expanding our creative practices. I encourage you to get curious about how you can use your current resources to get one step closer to your goals/intentions for 2023.
5 Things
1. A free crochet shawl pattern called Tubucake, which means “growth” in Fiji.
2. This yeasted cornmeal coffee cake is touted as tasting as though “cornbread and rice pudding had a baby”. I am very intrigued to try this one out!
3. Get access to a free journaling class, and get inspired to make your own journal to document your daily life in 2023
4. Remember pen pals? I had quite a few growing up. Well they still exist in this world of social media! The Geek Girl Pen Pal Club will match you with a pen pal based on similar interests.
5. Listen to A.A. Milne read from Winnie the Pooh and escape to The Hundred Acre Woods.

One of the decisions that I made early in my business was to keep my blog/website/social media ad-free. Your support through Substack, affiliate links, Kofi, and Patreon, help me to remain committed to this. So thank you all very much!
“he found himself asking was there any point in being alive without helping one another? Was it possible to carry on along through all the years, the decades, through an entire life, without once being brave enough to go against what was there and yet call yourself a Christian, and face yourself in the mirror?”

Adding that cornmeal coffee cake to my list to bake and I want a Pen Pal lol
