Dear friend,
When I started this Substack journey, I jumped into it without a clear plan. I’d been looking for a better way to connect with you through e-mails, and was very excited when I discovered this medium. Back then, in April 2021 the one commitment I made was to send the 5 Things for the Weekend letter every single Friday. I am happy to say that I have stuck to that promise to me (and to you), and I hope that you have found it helpful, and even a bit inspiring for your creative life.
Along the way I sent random musings, albeit inconsistently, and in 2023 I was excited to launch the paid subscription section to conduct the Journal Your Word Workshop. The experience of running the workshop has been a meaningful and fulfilling one, and I am happy to share that it will continue next year.
With the lessons I’ve learnt from the past year, I will be upgrading the benefits that come with a paid subscription in 2024. There will now be three main topics covered if you are a paid subscriber:
Journal Your Word of the Year
Three e-mail prompts a month:
on the 1st with the monthly theme, journaling prompts, and mission for the month
on the 15th to nudge you. Including a voice note, and self-care prompt
on or about the 27th with prompts to reflect on the month
A weekly Tarot spread every Sunday, with prompts to reflect on the week ahead.
A monthly journaling co-working session on the 1st Sunday of the month
Creative Living
Every other month on the 3rd Monday of the month, an essay and/or resources about creativity and creative living.
The Readers’ Corner
Every other month on the 3rd Monday of the month, an essay and/or resources about the reading life.
Subscription Rates
Effective December 26th, the paid subscription will be priced at US$65 annually / US$6.50 monthly. If you are a current paying subscriber or subscribe before that date you will lock in the current fee of US$50 annually / US$5 monthly.
In addition for the entire month of December all subscribers, free and paid, will receive all the e-mails as a sort of Holiday trial period. I’ll be debuting some of the new Journal Your Word and other features, as well as writing about how to choose a word for 2024!
The 5 Things for the Weekend e-mails and the weekly What’s Happening Wednesdays chats will continue to be sent to all subscribers free of cost.
I am truly grateful that you are here and can’t wait to explore these themes more with you in the months ahead.
Francine
Sounds wonderful! Looking forward to the new content!
