Hello there,
Before I jump into our weekly five things, I have a big update. In the interest of simplicity - which is kind of my thing - I am changing how I communicate with my wonderful community via newsletter. Instead of keeping things separate as I have in the past for weekly updates, I’ll now be sending just one e-mail blast with five weekly things covering books, crafts, bullet journaling, and creativity. This will include information about the Sister Reads book club, and any other events like my free e-mail classes. I am using a new delivery system, so please pardon any glitches. If you have any issues feel free to reach out to me by replying to this e-mail.
5 Things
Living in France beef bourguignon is something I have eaten quite a lot, and it is absolutely delicious! If you’ve ever wanted to make it try this recipe. It seems quite labour intensive, but looks like it will be worth it!
Make easy crochet dishcloths with a free pattern. You’ll need worsted weight cotton yarn and a size H/8 (5 mm) crochet hook.
It’s National Poetry month, and I signed up to receive a poem a day, which I am writing out into a notebook (because I love writing things in notebooks!). It’s making me want to start writing poetry. Perhaps I can make an attempt at a Villanelle?
I loved this cartoon from The Oatmeal on How to be Perfectly Unhappy. It will make you rethink your approach to being happy.
I’ve signed up for my first ever 24-Hour readathon! It runs this weekend from Saturday April 24th 8 am EST to Sunday April 25th 8 am EST. I’m really wondering how I will fare. Wish me luck!
Currently Reading & Making
