5 things for the weekend 25.25
mojito cupcakes, studio tour, mangonado, avoid your phone, no-churn ice-cream
My cafe gourmand at dinner the other night
I can feel it in the air. It’s palpable. Summer is here! Aside from the unlimited sunshine we currently have, there’s an energy I’m picking up from everyone.
We’re having end-of-year get-togethers in our various hobby groups (sports and other activities in France mainly run concurrent with the academic year), we’re gearing up for Fête de la Musique on the 21st, everyone is discussing travel plans, invites to pool parties are landing in WhatsApp…..
This just might be my favourite time of year after all.
5 Things
1. It’s all things summer eats and drinks now! How about these mojito cupcakes? They are a fun twist on the drink.
2. I’m about to do a huge studio clear and re-organise, but of course first I have to procrastinate by gathering inspiration by watching this fabulous studio tour from artist
3. It’s mango season in the Caribbean right now, and I am drooling at all the photos friends and family are posting. I’ll console myself with this Mexican mangonada treat which will help to stretch the few mangoes we do get here.
4. I am trying hard to beat the habit of picking up my phone right after waking up, and will be trying some of these 21 ideas to help avoid that.
5. You don’t need an ice-cream maker to make ice-cream! Try these yummy no-churn ice-cream ideas.
