5 things for the weekend 25.16
schedule it, typography for sketch noting, notebook ecosystem, poached chicken, microjournaling
I had a lesson this week in how fleeting things can be, and why it’s always a good idea to take the time to fully enjoy moments.
My tree peonies bloomed late this year, and shortly after we had very warm and weather which meant that withing a couple days they were beached from the sun. Then we had some heavy rain and all the petals were torn from the blooms.
Usually I have time to take numerous photos of the bushes, as well as bring bouquets inside, but none of that happened this year because I thought I still had time.
So as corny as this sounds, remember to stop to smell the roses, take photos of them, and make bouquets!
5 Things
1. Katie Hawkins-Garr encourages us to make the time for the things we want our lives to hold, because the life we want won’t schedule itself.
2. Have you tried sketch noting? Here are some typography tips for sketch noting, because how we write the notes is also important.
3. I continue to be fascinated by how other people use notebooks, while fine-tuning my own system. Here’s how Petya from a reading life uses hers.
4. I cannot wait to try this coconut milk poached chicken recipe!
5. Here’s another great microjournaling method to get you writing from The Internet People.
