5 things for the weekend 25.12
journaling tip, crochet lavender, simple creativity, sew a mug caddy, herby cheese bread
I was absolutely delighted to come upon this beautiful tiny flowers on my way to work earlier this week. They lined a good portion of one of the streets I take, and were a nice reminder that Spring is actually here despite the gloomy skies and low temperatures.
What tiny things are giving you hope these days?
5 Things
1. As someone who enjoys journaling, wants to journal more, but forgets to journal, I’m always interested in simple tips like this one to help me get things down on the page.
2. While waiting for you lavender plants to bloom, or if you don’t have lavender plants, why not make these crochet lavender stems? They are a lovely decorative touch, but I think they would also make great bookmarks!
3. Here are four simple creative reminders from Grant Snider. If you read my recent post about creative simplicity you’ll know that this is right up my alley!
4. I tend to do things like journaling, updating planners and other small creative things in different parts of the house, so I’m always carrying supplies back and forth. I love this idea of sewing a mug caddy to easily take essential bits along with me.
5. Whip up this comforting herby cheese bread. It can be an accompaniment to chili, toast for breakfast, or used for a savory sandwich.

Spring is taking its time here but I am starting to finally see little hints of it. Those crochet lavender flowers would be great as book marks. I love that simple approach to journaling...three easy prompts.
