5 things for the weekend 25.07
joyful art practice, weaving in ends, marshmallows, diy junk journal, toni morrison
February 14th means Book Giving Day for us, since Valentine’s Day isn’t a big deal in either of our cultures. (or at least it wasn’t, that has changed somewhat). I always enjoying choosing books to gift to my family, but let’s face it I always enjoy choosing books period! I usually pair them with a bookmark too, so I can add some craftiness to the gift.
How do you celebrate (or not) the 14th of February?
5 Things
1. With the 100 Day Project coming up I enjoyed this podcast from them on making your art practice joyful and consistent.
2. Weaving in ends on my knit projects is probably my least favourite task, but I know how important it is and have made piece. Though a bit technical I appreciated the techniques in this masterclass on weaving ends in.
3. Let’s make marshmallows at home! I totally want to do this for my birthday this year.
4. Use up your paper crafting and scrapbooking stash and make a Valentine inspired junk journal. Or any theme you choose!
5. Words of wisdom from Toni Morrison for times of despair: No Place for Self-Pity, No Room for Fear.

Thank you Toni Morrison!!! I am so making those marshmallows and great tips for weaving in ends. Also love this reminder for the 100 Day Project.
Whew, weaving in ends 😩 I finished the Magic Checkered Sweater by Le Pull the other day and it’s constructed by stitching strips together. I had this pattern on hold for 5 months just bc I hate weaving in ends so much lol!
