5 things for the weekend 24.43
help to fall asleep, sew a tote bag, pad thai, irish authors, no-sew wreath
December is off and running! I am truly enjoying all my Advent / daily activities so far. I was worried it would be too much coupled with the part-time teaching job, but I am realising that having those moments, especially at the end of my work days, are a good way to take a break and use a different part of my brain. I can feel the creativity flowing, and I am getting lots of new ideas for future projects.
It’s also crunch time for finishing off the last of my gift making and crafts, and I’m excited about spending time doing those.
What is making you smile this month?
5 Things
1. I’ve been having trouble falling asleep lately, probably because I can’t shut my brain off at night, and this cognitive trick seems to be helping.
2. The majority of my handmade gifts this year will be sewn, not knitted. I’ll be making this multi-pocket tote for someone who loves reusable shopping bags.
3. Decided to try this InstantPot Chicken Pad Thai, even though I wasn’t sure it would turn out. Well, it’s absolutely delicious, and we all loved it!
4. Irish authors are having a moment, at least they are in my world, so I’m excited to read from this list of 25.
5. Are you decorating yet? That’s my plan this weekend, and I want to see if I can make this no-sew fabric wreath with fabric from my stash.
