5 things for the weekend 24.41
ideas for ribbed cuffs, pecan pie, easy sewn gifts, garlic cheese biscuits, free sewing pattern
I thought to myself recently that November seemed to be going slowly, and then awoke to the startling realisation that this past week just sped by! But with one week still left in the month, I am feeling good about hitting all my goals. At least as far as Christmas planning goes. I already got the larger portion of handmade gifts made and mailed out so I am feeling good.
I’m starting to think about winding down the year. My goal is to have a gentle December, and to really enjoy the CraftVent challenge, and the season in general. Starting to feel nibblings for choosing my word for 2025, and am already looking forward to a nice break over the Holidays.
How about you?
5 Things
1. Knitting lots of gloves and mitts right now? How about you jazz up the ribbings with these 8 ideas? Definitely a welcome change from 1x1 rib!
2. Pecan pie is already great, so I’m guessing that chocolate honey pecan pie would be incredible!
3. This year I am doing more sewing than knitting for handmade gifts, and I am on a roll! I have finished the bulk of my sewing but this list of 10 easy gifts to sew makes me want to make some extras.
4. This recipe had me at garlic and cheese! These biscuits are a great idea instead of standard dinner rolls.
5. Here’s a great free pattern for sewing a wallet that can be customised for any recipient. Another wonderful handmade gift idea.
