5 things for the weekend 23.41
cheesy cauliflower toast, holiday planning, diy paper sacks, cranberry upside down cake, best books of decade
The weather has been quite the roller coaster around here with days switching from bright sunshine to pouring rain in the blink of an eye. When it’s the former (which thankfully it is today), I am trying to notice the beauty of autumn as I go about my life, like this lichen growing on a fallen branch. I was taking out the recycling, and the branch was next to the disposal bins. I can only imagine what the people driving by were thinking as they saw me crouched there! There was a time when that thought would have stopped me from taking photos, but happily I am over that now. It’s all part of my flourishing for 2023!
5 Things
1. Why is cauliflower all up in everything these days? Would you try this cauliflower toast? It looks yummy!
2. Wit & Delight agrees with me that these are the seven holiday planning things you should be doing right now.
3. I’m working on my first batch of gift wrapping, mainly the homemade Advent Calendar I send my sister, and used this DIY to make my sacks out of wrapping paper.
4. Here’s a great twist on pineapple upside-down cake: cranberry upside-down cake! Looks good for the Holiday season.
5. The Goodreads team has released a list of the 76 most popular books of the past decade based on their user stats. I’ve read 20+ and have a few others on my list!

Hi, After the holiday, will you show or tell us what you put in your sister's advent calendar? I tried to make my daughter one but had a hard time coming up with ideas to go in it. Thank you.
