5 things for the weekend 23.40
words for bookworms, instantpot roast beef, japanese rice bags, work-from-home outfits, cricut event
It’s all about these notebooks right now. They contain the secrets of the Universe! No, not really, they are just my second brain, where I write down everything I need to be staying on top of right now. Christmas Planning, daily tasks, crafting and business: if it isn’t written down, it doesn’t get done because I forget about it. Whereas some prefer to use one notebook or planner for everything, over the years I’ve found that there are certain things I need to compartmentalise, plus information that I need to reference over a long period. so I need those separate from my bullet journal. The latter is the piece that holds it all together, but it has become more ephemeral in the sense that what’s contained in there is only useful for short periods of time (which can range from a day to three months, or more depending on how long a notebook lasts me).
What about you? One notebook or more?
5 Things
1. Do you have a Cricut Machine? Join the Faux la La Event from November 20th to December 9th to get free ideas and SVG files for crafting with faux leather.
2. Book lovers love words, so what could be better than bookish words to us? Merriam-Webster has compiled a few for our enjoyment.
3. I just came across these Japanese Rice Bags or Komebukoro, and want to try making one. I think it’s a great project for using up scraps, or smaller pieces of precious fabrics. Also see these Kinchaku ones.
4. Is it possible to cook a medium-rare buttery beef pot roast in the Instant Pot? Amy and Jacky think so!
5. As someone who works from home this illustrated guide to work-from-home outfits definitely tickled my funny bone.
