5 things for the weekend 23.39
cornucopia calligraphy, carnitas, free art workshop, photography. free crochet pattern
I’m just getting back in the flow of things after a family mini-break in the mountains. The Autumn school holidays are about to end, which means it’s full steam ahead for Christmas. (And of course Thanksgiving for those who celebrate). I am feeling pretty good about where I am with Holiday preparations, but will still take stock this weekend, and finalise details on things like cards, handmade gifts, and decor. We’re hosting this year, so I have to make sure to have all my ducks in a row!
Are you thinking about Holiday prep?
5 Things
1. Use a pointed dip pen to make a cornucopia with flourished calligraphy. It’s great for embellishing envelopes or making a small piece of art to display this Autumn.
2. Get a yummy dinner on the table in less than two hours when you make these Instant Pot Carnitas.
3. Molly Wizenberg muses about her relationship with her photography, Toni Morrison’s essays and what it all means.
4. Jump into this free online mixed media workshop with Ida Andersen Lang. It’s already underway, but there are still five days of classes left.
5. If you’re a complete beginner to crochet you will love this free pattern and tutorial for a beanie you can make in 90 minutes!
