5 things for the weekend 23.35
the art of handmade, kale chicken salad, household DIY, christmas planner, tom hanks' books
I can safely say that I am back in my reading season now. The summer turned out to be a surprising hiatus from reading, I thought I would zap through 10+ books, but that was unrealistic given our travel plans. Now that life has slowed down again, I am picking up my books consistently. it helps that there are so many fun and interesting challenges and themes, not to mention book club, and book review commitments.
Do you find that some of your hobbies go through seasons?
5 Things
1. This (satiric) story about a woman who went for a walk without her phone made me cackle.
2. Get back in touch with your creative soul, and start making for the Holidays with the free Art of Handmade Summit.
3. Who knew Tom hanks was a reader? Apparently Good Books did and shared 30 of his recommended books.
4. My healthy eating plan has been hit or miss lately, and I need to get back on track with some meal prepping. Planning to start with this kale chicken salad, which the author purports to have the best tasting chicken ever.
5. Zap unpleasant kitchen odors (they happen!) with these DIY deodorising pods using natural ingredients like baking soda and essential oils.
