5 things for the weekend 23.08
skillet lasagna, staying motivated, historical fiction, be gentle with yourself
It’s reflection time for me, as the end of the month approaches. I am paying attention to how I have done on setting up and forming new good habits. While January seemed to last forever, February has sped by in the blink of an eye, and I feel as though I haven’t made the most of the month. But then I remind myself that I made the choice to mainly rest during our two week winter break.
So I want to gently remind you that when you’re evaluating your month, take into account the context of everything going on in your life right now, to better understand how to tweak things going forward.
5 Things
1. Do you have too many books? (Is there really such a thing?) Here’s how you can tell which stage you’re at.
2. This article from Harvard Business Review about staying motivated while working, helped me understand why making countdowns/trackers for my projects helps me to keep up.
3. Simplify your annual planning in your bullet journal with the simple one page yearly calendar.
4. Simple and delicious skillet ravioli lasagna for when you need comfort food in under an hour.
5. Bookending these links with a list of 25 of the best historical fiction reads, 11 of which I can personally recommend.
