As we head into a new month, I’m reflecting on everything I’ve read, listened to, created, and eaten during February. The shortest month has been really full for me, and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. I started off the month realising that I had probably committed myself to a few too many projects, but I stopped the overwhelm by realising that I didn’t have to do everything every day, just take it at my own pace. I have made peace with the fact that I will be continuing at least one daily project into March, and given it’s one that requires mental as well as creative energy, it makes sense to take it slowly. I am also entering March with only one commitment, which is my big take away from the month.
What are your takeaways from the past month?
5 Things
1. Great news for Outlander fans! There’s now an official knitting pattern for Claire Fraser’s iconic wrap.
2. This week I am making InstantPot Pho. The recipe looks simple and delicious!
3. Every Hamilton fan knows the significant influence that hip-hop had on the show’s music. Here’s an outline of all the references that Lin Manuel Miranda used.
4. How do you decide when to DNF a book? Elif Batuman and Ama Cudjoe discuss their failed book club reading.
5. I absolutely fell in love with this song by Wyndreth Berginsdottir. The lyrics spoke deeply to me and I can’t stop thinking about it.
