5 things for the weekend 22.45
best book gifts, eggnog panna cotta, musical mashup, free printables
I am now officially on Christmas break. Schools close today, and my son and I are looking forward to a week of kicking back, enjoying the last days of our Advent Calendars, eating treats, and watching movies. (Poor hubs works until the 23rd, but he will join in the treats and movies part for sure!). I’ll be finishing up my handmade gifts too. Plus doing some baking, and the last bit of decor.
What are your plans for the days leading up to Christmas?
5 Things
1. The Guardian asked authors for their recommendations for the best books to give as gifts this year.
2. Felicity Jane is sharing 12 Days of Christmas free printables in their shop.
3. Use your favourite prepared eggnog to make this eggnog panna cotta with spiked cranberry sauce.
4. If this isn’t the best Christmas / Musical mashup in the history of mashups, I don’t know what it.
5. Comfy Cozy Up is running a 7-Day Journal mood starting December 25th. This is a great opportunity to try out one of her journaling challenges, if the 30-day versions seem daunting.
What are you DoING?
I am:
Reading: When We Were Birds
Listening: My son’s Christmas playlist
Watching: Vikings
Making: Christmas presents!
Loving: my Christmas tree
and you?

We’ve chosen our books for 2023! The actual schedule will be posted soon, but you can see the list here. Thanks to all who voted.
It’s not crazy to think that you can still send out Christmas Cards. If you really feel called to do so, this will help you to get them done and dusted.
“Perhaps that is how we should frame this question forever; rather than asking what is your favourite work, let’s ask, what continues to pull you back?”
