5 things for the weekend 22.42
reading challenges, advent calendars, free recipe cards, gifts for men, holiday decor
This month the combination of the Journal Mood challenge, and my Morning Mindset Journal & Coloring Book has led to me developing a consistent journaling habit. Did I journal every day? No, but I journaled most days. Did I fill out every little bit following the prompts? No, but I did what felt the most important on the days that I sat at my desk.
In other news, on Tuesday night after work, I whipped out a quick DIY that I’ve been thinking about. You can see the results above. That green desktop is actually fake Kapla blanks, painted with some chalk paint that I’ve had for years. They are stuck to the top of an old kid’s desk that used to be my son’s. Now I have a pretty spot to spread out from my main desk for writing and colouring.
Doing this project reminded me that I need to get out of my head more. Stop imagining things in my mind, and just do it already!
