5 things for the weekend 22.41
calling book club members, watercolour wreath, gingerbread, christmas planning, and a craftvent
Sometimes it’s really the simple pleasures in life. Ms. Nibs above seems to get that right! I’m trying to take a page from her book. One simple pleasure I am really appreciating at this moment is my commute home from work. It sounds crazy, but on the days I work as an English teacher, I really enjoy those 45 minutes where I am entirely alone, can block out the noise (elementary schools are NOISY y’all), and not have to think about anything but the present moment. I take the bus home, and while I could probably catch a ride with one of my colleagues, I am starting to really treasure this bit of me-time. It’s a moment to truly clear my head before I have to put on one of my other hats.
How do you make the most of these moments?

2. Love all things gingerbread, and want to be surrounded by it during the season? Now you can with these gingerbread decor ideas, (and get cookie recipes too).
3. Here’s a fun craft for kids: snow globes made using disposable plates! Could be a good idea to jumpstart holiday decorating after eating turkey!
4. Side dish suggestion: sweet potato, arugula and wild rice salad with ginger dressing.
5. Make these crochet Christmas baubles to give and keep!
