When life gives you lemons…… I’ve spent the majority of the last week in bed nursing a cold. On Saturday when I was still convinced it was “nothing”, I got out of bed to do my scheduled Live on Setting Holiday Intentions, then promptly got back in, and haven’t moved much except for going to a doctor’s appointment. According to her it’s just a seasonal cold “rien de mechant” - nothing serious. I’ve been trying not to think about my very long to-do list of work, business, and home related stuff, and just focus on getting better. It has given me the time however, to advance on making some gifts. I’ve been binge watching TV while knitting whenever I had the energy. So, I’m telling myself that it will all balance out in the end. I also made headway on my very ambitious October TBR!
What do you do in these times of “forced rest”?”
5 Things
1. Could you be satisfied with a good-enough life, instead of one full of greatness?
2. Our recent weather has confirmed that it is officially Hygge Season! Have you tried to embrace it? A friend recently visited Denmark and experienced it firsthand, and says it was truly lovely.
3. With one week left before Halloween, you might be thinking about your decor. Try your hand at one of these handmade garlands.
4. This BBQ chicken recipe is really versatile, and includes options for making it on the grill, or in the oven, Instant Pot or air fryer.
5. As someone who comes from a tropical island, I’ve always known there was something special about blue spaces. This recent study gives me more ammunition to demand a beach holiday each year!
