5 things for the weekend 22.35
sustainable giving, free crochet pattern, setting intentions, dance party, beef noodle soup
I’m on the tail end of a fairly scattered week, and tired. My part-time teaching job started, and not only did I have a different schedule this week, but it’s also not the actual schedule I’ll have all school year, so I have felt quite out of sorts every day. I confess I almost abandoned my usual time management methods, because it all felt futile. I don’t like when I am not in control of my time, but then it hit me. I am still in control. Especially of how I respond to the changes. I just need to tweak how I arrange things, and also, very importantly, take the time to adjust to my new routine. It’s always a bit hard for me to make the mental changes that go along with a change in my routines, but I remind myself that I have done it before, and it will all get smoothed out. Have you ever felt unsettled by that kind of thing? How quickly do you adjust to changes in routines and habits?
5 Things
1. Every year I try to improve how mindful and sustainable I am with my gift giving. I like these ten ideas on how to move towards that goal.
2. I’m sure you have heard about 10,000 steps a day, but how many steps do we really need to take to be healthy?
3. It’s no secret that I love my InstantPot and use it weekly. This week we all loved this hearty beef noodle soup.
4. Decorate for the Holidays with this free pattern for a crochet Advent Calendar. I like to use them to hang from a garland.
5. A good dance party just makes like sweeter!
