5 things for the weekend 22.34
autumn isn't the best season, a book festival, christmas planning printables, the perfect bookstore doesn't exis....
One week ago, I headed to Paris to attend the Festival America book and literature fest for the first time ever. To say I was blown away is an understatement! Aside from having a blast with my friends Didi and Rosa, I also rubbed shoulders with the likes of Ta-Nehisi Coates, Jason Mott, Emmelie Prophète, Viet Thahn Nguyen, and mateo Askaripor. It was edifying and intellectually stimulating, and just plain fun! The festival is held every two years, and is now permanently on my calendar. Have you ever attended a similar event?

5 Things
1. I don’t agree that Autumn is the best season (it’s Summer, duh), but there are some good suggestions for fall reads in this article.
2. Is it too soon to be thinking about gift wrapping ideas? Not according to me it’s not!
3. Update your phone with a free fall themed wallpaper design.
4. The perfect labyrinthine bookstore you dream of does exist! You can see photos and a description either on Twitter, or Facebook. it’s definitely worth the click!
5. Decorate your home with gnomes for Fall! This simple DIY requires a cone shape, fabric, and faux fur, plus general crafting tools and supplies.
News from the Callaloo Collective
I’ve pulled together a blog post with links to free printables explaining how I plan for the Holidays.
Now in the shop, three new A5 notebooks, and a new undated weekly planners:
Hope’s thin, he said. Despair’s thick. Like blood. - Viet Thanh Nguyen, The Sympathizer
Yes it was loads of fun! I'm already looking at better places to stay.
