5 things for the weekend 22.3
one for the bookish peeps, journal your word, yummy lunchtime recipe, sweet dreams
I love doing bookish challenges on Instagram, because it’s fun to interact with other people who love books, plus it gets me playing with my books, and using them for art, which is great fun! I rediscover books that I read and loved, but had forgotten about, and it always makes me smile to see old favourites. And I also find some I’ve been meaning to read. Ahem. This last challenge was for spilt spines: I loved the wonky stack this made! Do you think of your books as more than just things to read?

5 Things
1. The idea of creating a home is something that I value deeply. This article explains quite well some of my ideas behind that.
2. As a proud Caribbean person I am so excited by all the amazing literature coming out of my homeland lately. Here are ten of the best as selected by The Jamaica Gleaner.
3. I made this warm chickpea bowl for my lunch last week, and it is sublime. Quick to pull together, and very tasty.
4. As part of my quest for better sleep, I’ll be making these aromatic dream pillows this weekend.
5. Join Amy Maricle of Mindful Art Studio for a 5 Day Simplest Things challenge. You’ll get a daily e-mail with photo, prompts and ways to create simply.
A bonus, sorta, because I forgot the link to the banana cartoon last week. Ooops.
