We’re at the end of 2024 and it’s a period of reflection and planning ahead for 2025. Before I continue I want to say that if you haven’t had time to start or finish this process, it’s okay. I’m personally feeling a bit anxious about it all because I still haven’t done a full reflection on 2024, set up my new bullet journal and craft planners, or set major goals and intentions. My plan was to jump out of bed early today and get it all done, but happily I remembered that my approach has always been to work on all those things during January. There’s no need to have it all set by December 31st. So take a deep breath. You have time.
Here are some resources to help.
1. If you plan to choose a word for 2025, you can download the Unravel and Word of the Year booklets from Susannah Conway.
2. Here is my own process for choosing a word.
3. But maybe you’d prefer to choose an imperative for 2025 instead?
4. Close out 2024, and look ahead to 2025 with the Year Compass Booklet. It’s available in a variety of languages and formats.
5. For my crafty and creative peeps, you can download the Creative Life Worksheet here.

“I heard a bird sing in the dark of December. A magical thing. And sweet to remember. We are nearer to Spring than we were in September. I heard a bird sing in the dark of December.”
― Oliver Herford
Or you can “buy me a journal”. Tip jar donations help me to keep putting out free content, and host the book club on Zoom.

I love the idea of choosing an imperative. Will investigate this some more as I do my yearly planning this month.
Happy New Year, Francine!
Thanks for the link to Year Compass. I totally forgot about that one.
